About This Trek:
A side valley of the Pindar. Its
wild scenic beauty surpasses that of the Pindar, coiling throgh an enchanting
theatre of mounains dominated by the gignatic Maiktoli wall to the NW and by the
Tharkot ridge further W. At the back f the valley is the eponymous pass (5520m),
for climbers only, leading N into the Nanda Devi Sanctuary.

All the treks of Kumaon (Uttaranchal India) is connected by 'our coach'
with Delhi
DAY-1&2
Kakot-Dhakuri, as for the Pindar
Glacier.
DAY-3
Dhakuri-Jatoli (2438m) 10km
Descend NW fr 1h30 throgh fields to reach Wachham (2027m), situated beside the
Pindar River. Now a very steep ascent N into the Sunderdhunga Gad leads to
Jatoli, the last habitation; camp ground.
DAY-4
Jatoli-Dudiadhog (2743m) 13km -
Ascend though thick forest and undergrowth; the height gained is not much but
there are numerous ups and downs along the way. Dudiadhog is a flat area with
an overhang rock shelter.
DAY-5
Dudiadhog-Sunderdhunga (3206m)
11km - The path follows the W side of the river for most of the way.
Sunderdhunga is a grazing ground strewn with many splendid boulders literally
means beautiful rocks, which give the valley its name. One can go up as far as
 Maiktoli, at the base of Sundedhunga Pass.
