Day 01 Delhi
:
On arrival at Delhi International
airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel, where
we will be holding the rooms on ready occupancy basis. This day or night is
generally kept for relaxing, overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Delhi-Agra-Delhi:
Early morning start for a same day excursion to Agra covering Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and
Sikendra Tomb, drive back to Delhi after the sight seeing tour,
relax and overnight at hotel in Delhi.
Day 03 Delhi-Bagdogra-Darjeeling :
In the morning transfer to Airport to board the flight to Bagdogra, on arrival
transfer to hotel in Darjeeling (94Km/4Hrs). The rest of the day free to acclimatize you
with the altitude and atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 Darjeeling:
The name
Darjeeling is a composition of 'dorje' meaning 'thunderbolt'
and 'ling' meaning 'place' ... 'the Land of Thunderbolt'.
The Nepalese had marched till the east of Sikkim in 1780 as far as Tista river.
Due to a disagreement with Nepal, the British declared war against Nepal at the
end of 1813. In 1816 by a treaty signed at Seagoulie, Nepal ceded 4000 sq.
miles of Full day excursion to
Mirik. In the evening, drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Darjeeling:
At dawn an excursion to Tiger Hill. Situated at
an altitude of 2590 metres (8482 ft.), it is 15 km from Darjeeling town. An
early morning trip to the Tiger Hill promises an unique experience. A view of
the sunrise amidst the Himalayan range has earned it an international fame. From
here you can get a glimpse of Mount Everest, the highest mountain and
Kangchenjunga range. In the afternoon enjoy city tour covering H. M. I.
Zoo, Ghoom Monastery along with a train ride. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Darjeeling - Pemayangtse:
Today morning drive to Pemayangtse. On arrival, check into hotel. Afternoon
visit Yuksom Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Pemyangtse - Gangtok :
Today morning drive to Gangtok. On arrival check in into hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 08 Gangtok:
Full day excursion to Rumtek Monastery in Gangok. Gangtok means, aptly enough
“hill top” and the little capital of Sikkim is perched at 5,500 feet, high on
the ridge of a valley. It lies snuggled between the borders of Nepal and Bhutan
at an altitude of 1547 m above sea level, and is famous for its numerous
important monasteries and picturesque Himalayan views. In the evening, drive
back to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Gangtok :
At dawn enjoy Tashiview. Afternoon an excursion to Phudong Monastery. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 10 Gangtok- Phuntsholing:
Today morning drive to Phuntsholing. On arrival check into hotel. Evening visit
Phuntsholing market and town followed by orientation talk on Bhutan with a
cocktail. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11- Phuntsholing-Thimphu:
Today you will drive to Thimpu through hair pin bends. Today you will experience
the scenic beauty of Bhutan. Lunch midway at a cafeteria & proceed to Thimphu.
On arrival & check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 Thimphu :
Whole Day sightseeing in Thimphu includes the memorial Chorten painting school ,
Gold & Silver Smith , the National Library, Dechencholing Palace, Handicraft
center Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 Thimphu -
Wangdi-Punakha:
The drive today takes you over
Dochula Pass (3055 meters). From here on a clear day, you will have a
magnificent view of the Eastern Himalayas. Then drop down to 1400 mts into
Wangdi Valley. Arrive Punakha (an ancient capital of Bhutan) Afternoon visit
Punakha Dzong and local bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 Punakha - Paro :
Start quite early to Paro with picnic lunch. Enroute visit Semtokha Dzong, the
oldest Dzong in Bhutan. Visit Dungtse and Kyushu temples in Paro. After lunch
visit the national museum and the Pari Dzong. In the evening, stroll around the
local bazaar in Paro. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 Paro :
Paro is a beautiful place with many religious & historical interest.
Excursions to Taktsang (Tiger Nest) can be conducted with packed lunch. This is
one of the highlights of this tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 Paro- Delhi :
Transfer to Airport to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel.
Afternoon free to relax Overnight at hotel.
Day 17 Delhi :
In the first half of the day enjoy half day city tour covering India Gate,
President’s house, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Laxmi Narayan temple. After
lunch we will take you to Old Delhi where you will see Jama Masjid, Red Fort,
Gandhi Memorial followed by sound & light show at Red Fort. After farewell
dinner, checkout and transfer to
International
airport to board the flight back home.
